Celebrating new beginnings in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.
The addition of a new family member or celebrating a new identity provides a wonderful opportunity to join with loved ones to mark this special event. The accompanying ceremony provides a memorable chance for friends and family to provide the warmth and support needed to navigate life’s unique journey ahead.
As an alternative to a traditional christening or baptism, a naming ceremony, officiated by a trained celebrant, can be beautifully personalised to create a fabulous and unique occasion to set your little one up for life.
An important part of a naming ceremony is the commitments that sponsor parents, mentors, or guide parents pledge to the child or individual transitioning to a new identity.
The addition of readings, poems, music, and rituals and traditions adds further richness and meaning to the ceremony. This can include symbolism to celebrate the bonding of a blended family following an adoption or marriage.
Gender transition reflects a period of new beginnings, new hopes, dreams, and plans for the future. Reaching this threshold and taking the steps that follow deserves a unique and wonderfully bespoke celebration in the company of your loved ones.
As you celebrate on this special day, why not seize the opportunity to share who you were meant to be, incorporating readings from friends and family, meaningful music, and heart-warming and inclusive rituals that tell the story of who you are and where you’re going.
I will work with you to craft a thoughtful and bespoke service and ceremony, which can involve selected family and friends of your choosing.
As your family celebrant, it will be my absolute pleasure to lead the ceremony, welcome your guests, and design a service reflecting your wishes and requirements.
Naming and transition ceremonies from £350.
Please note that prices are subject to any specific ceremony or travel requirements outside a 40-mile radius.
In the UK, to be legally married, this has to be registered either via a registrar in your local registry office, or via a church representative aligned to your chosen faith. The legal certificate should be signed either the day before or after the wedding service.
A celebrant-led service provides the freedom to have a fully personalised and bespoke service, tailored to you, your and your partner before or after the wedding service with the flexibility of being held at any location of your choosing.
In the case of a funeral related service, a celebrant-led service offers the same level of personalisation and meaning to celebrate the life of your loved one.
Travel costs within a 40 mile radius are included in the service fee costs.
I am an independent civil celebrant which means that I am not a representative of the church though nor am I an atheist and am entirely happy to include readings, poetry or spiritual content as required and related to your faith. A humanist celebrant-led service does not include any spiritual content.
For all ceremonies or services, then you and your partner if applicable (or me) will see the final content and running order without your permission. For a wedding, in the case of you each wanting to write your vows privately to be revealed to each other for the first time on the day, I am happy to liaise with you both separately.
As much notice as you can is always welcome though I know circumstances can mean that it may not always be possible to do that, so please simply get in touch and I’m happy to work out a workable solution where feasible.
I have been trained by and am a member of, the International College of Professional Celebrants.
If anything else springs to mind, please complete the contact form and I will respond with the appropriate answer. I very much look forward to hearing from you.
